On May 14, 2026 the Monticello High School Class of 1966 held a 60 year reunion. In some ways it seems like a few weeks ago that we were in class together on May 14, 1966 and looking forward to the next phase of our lives.
When we were six or seven or eight years old and heard an adult say, "Can you believe it's only three weeks until Christmas?", my reaction was, "Three weeks! I can't wait that long!" We also heard, "Time flies." I am sure that you will agree with me that time does 'fly'. It seems that at this stage of life, time is the only thing that does get faster. Our high school graduation seems that it was only a few years ago.
"THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU", to Mary Lou and other classmates planned and implemented tasks to make everything possible! Thanks to Mary Lou and Jimmy who made their cabin available to us for our special time together. Also, thanks to Jimmy who was not a classmate, but I am sure he had many chores assigned to him as part of the preparation.
I will remember this very special day for the rest of my life. The only sad part of the day was that some of our classmates were not able to join us for various reasons. Being together to remember those who are no longer with us was tough, but it generated some wonderful memories all the way back to kindergarten. May they rest in peace.
The pictures below are not as good as I hoped that the would be. I should have checked the pictures as I took them and made adjustments. I hope that you enjoy seeing them. If you click on the images on this page, a full size picture will open.
Fellow classmates - if you have pictures or comments that you would like posted, please email me at: hostmaster@webfunctions.com

Before the reunion, some of us were able to visit our senior class homeroom teacher 'Miss Jessie'. In addition to teaching us in classes all through high school, she was also our class counselor. There is no doubt that Miss Jessie's dedication, patience, and true love for all of her students helped shape our lives in the most positive ways possible. No words are sufficient to thank you for what you did for all of us.
You are so very special to us, and we love you!
